Two decades in the making — twice over.
Since August formed in Fredericton in 1997, spending its early years on the club circuit before winning a North American Battle of the Bands — a result that put the band on the recording industry's radar.
Loggerhead Records signed the band in 2001. Sessions with producer Paul Northfield, known for his work with Rush, became the self-titled debut, released that August and carried by radio and video play across the country.
A second album, Between One & Two, was recorded not long after — but it never found a label push or a proper pressing. A small run of CDs sold at shows was, until now, the only way it ever reached anyone.
